JEWELRY SENSORY TEXTURE ROUNDS (from salt playdough)

JEWELRY SENSORY TEXTURE ROUNDS
(SALT DOUGH PLAYDOUGH)

The children and I made a few batches of salt dough playdough. We made an extra batch to make these rounds that we put in the bottom of pop bottles that we cut off about 1/3 of the way up. It took 3 months for them to dry completly. We had pressed old jewerly into the rounds and covered them with mod podge once a week. But this week we painted them these bright colors making sure we didn't get paint on the jewerly.

The children can feel each piece of textured jewerly and each have their own colored round to eye spy. Each piece of jewerly is secure in the playdough and these are out for SENSORY  EXPLORATION if chosen.
